| Requirements: | Internships are full-time summer-long positions. Start and end dates are flexible with regard to academic schedules, but you'll be expected to commit to at least 3 months of full-time work. You'll be paired with an engineer or researcher who will serve as your host and technical leader.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and an eye for what makes for a usable product. Your responsibilities will include designing and conducting qualitative user studies to gauge the usability of new and existing Google features and making concrete, data-driven recommendations for change based on your findings.
* Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Information Science, or related field. Strong technical background is a plus. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Solid knowledge of web design principles. |
